Commercial concrete cutting services
Whether the project requires one accurately placed core or hundreds of feet of slab cutting, our crew arrives prepared to work safely, protect surrounding construction, manage slurry and debris, and minimize disruption.
Concrete cutting capabilities
Choose the service that matches the opening, material, access, and next phase of work. Baugh can coordinate cutting, controlled removal, and jobsite protection as one organized scope.
Concrete Core Drilling
Accurately placed round openings through concrete floors and walls for plumbing, electrical conduit, HVAC, fire protection, refrigeration, communications, anchors, bollards, and equipment connections. Planning includes diameter, depth, reinforcement, access, water collection, and protection below the opening.
Slab and Flat Sawing
Straight, controlled cuts through concrete slabs and pavement for utility trenches, floor removal, damaged slab replacement, equipment foundations, expansion joints, loading areas, and commercial renovations. Cutting depth, access, removal size, and the next trade’s requirements are reviewed before work begins.
Wall and Hand Sawing
Controlled cuts for door and window openings, mechanical penetrations, structural modifications, interior renovations, and locations where larger equipment cannot operate. The method is selected around wall thickness, orientation, access, nearby finishes, and the required opening.
Concrete Trench Cutting
Layout and cutting for plumbing, sanitary, electrical, refrigeration, fuel, and other underground systems. Baugh can coordinate selective removal and debris handling so the trench is ready for the installing trade.
Asphalt Cutting
Clean pavement cuts for utility installation, drainage work, repairs, parking-lot modifications, and replacement preparation. Straight edges help define the work area and support an orderly repair after underground work is complete.
Selective Concrete Demolition
Controlled removal of specified slab, wall, curb, pad, or equipment areas while helping protect adjacent concrete, utilities, structural elements, and finished surfaces. Piece size, lifting access, debris routes, and disposal requirements are planned with the scope.
Jobsite safety, planning, and protection
Before cutting begins, we review access, working hours, concrete thickness, reinforcement, utilities, water availability, debris routes, and trade sequencing. Each scope is planned around the conditions present rather than treated as a one-size-fits-all cut.
- Work-zone planning and coordination with the site superintendent
- Wet-cutting, dust-control, water-management, and slurry-containment methods suited to the scope
- Protection for nearby finishes, occupied areas, equipment, and the level below a penetration
- Manageable cut sizes, controlled removal, and organized debris handling
- Clear communication when field conditions differ from plans or provided information
Project-specific hazards and controls are reviewed with the project team so the work can proceed in an organized manner and the area can be left ready for the next trade.
